In an enclosed booth,  the surface of the item is sprayed by forcing solid particles (a sand like compound) across the surface at high speeds, creating the textured effect of frosting.  The result is similar to that of using sandpaper, but provides a more even finish with no problems at corners or crannies.  The whole surface can be sandblasted or by using a template, text, logos or designs can be sandblasted into the surface.
